I volunteered at PARC (Prevention, Advocacy, & Resource Center) to help create an inclusive and intersectional training program combatting sexual violence on college campuses. During my time with PARC, I led 10 workshops annually, training over 300 students and 40 student-led clubs.

I mentored high schoolers studying at Brown University as a Resident Advisor and Teaching Assistant for classes on gender, globalism, race, and international politics. I also facilitated weekly workshops on Privilege, Equity, and Identity and assisted over forty students with creation of a social justice oriented action plan to implement in their own communities.

I taught graphic design and marketing workshops for South Los Angeles residents and youth through initiatives run by SoLa I CAN Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty in Los Angeles.

As a Community Advisor, I resolved conflicts, managed crises, maintained safe living communities and advocated on behalf of over 200 residents throughout my three years in the role. In my final year, I led a team of eighteen Community Advisors (CAs) as peer advisor and direct liaison to residential staff.

I managed a $72,000 budget on a team of four to plan and execute a weeklong series of events for 900+ seniors. The week concluded with an in-house concert hosted by Shangela of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
